Common causes for air conditioning component, tools & equipment failure
By avoiding these common errors, the relative service life of the component will reach its full potential.
Compressors:
- System not flushed correctly
- Flushing through compressors
- Receiver Drier not replaced
- Oil not correctly measured
- Foreign material found internally
- Dust or grit in the crank shaft seal
- Excessive pressure failure
- Electrical shorts through the clutch
- External damages, corrosion, cracks, accident related etc.
- In the case of a compressor failure the system must be flushed thoroughly and a new receiver drier fitted.
Evaporators:
- Faulty or incorrectly installation
- Dirty or externally blocked coils
- Cracks caused by vibrations
- Over pressurized from flushing or testing
- Internal corrosions caused by foreign substances
- Internal blockages other than faulty production
- External damages, dents, corrosion, accident related etc.
Condensers:
- Faulty or incorrectly installation
- Dirty or externally blocked coils
- Cracks caused by vibrations
- Over pressurized from flushing or testing.
- Internal corrosions caused by foreign substances
- Internal blockages other than faulty production
- External damages, dents, corrosion, accident related etc.
Receiver Driers & Accumulators:
- Faulty or incorrectly installation
- Flushing through driers, filters and accumulators
- Internal corrosions caused by foreign substance
- Internal blockages other than faulty production
- External damages, dents, corrosion, accident related etc
Thermostatic Expansion Valves:
- Faulty or incorrectly installation
- Internal corrosions caused by foreign substance
- Internal blockages other than faulty production
- External damages, corrosion, accident related etc
Electrical Switches & Fan Motors:
- Incorrectly installed or wrong voltage used
- Incorrect application
- No fuse or circuit breaker protection
- Moisture or corrosion
- Short outs caused by other components or faulty wiring
Air Conditioning Tools & Equipment:
- Incorrect application
- No fuse or circuit breaker protection
- Use of unknown substances such as flushing agents, leak seals, compressed air etc and other foreign matter
R12 and R134A and in some cases R404 are the only refrigerants recognised or recommended and approved by the O.E manufacturers, as such GPC ASIA PACIFIC are guided by these recommendations. The use of any refrigerant other the R12 or R134A and R404 in components unless otherwise specified will void all of the components warranties.
